Skiatook U. M. C. is where Missions happen.
We are the most missions-minded church in Skiatook. We:
* Provide school supplies for all the needy children in Skiatook, Sperry, and Avant, over 500 children!!
* Co-ordinate the Skiatook Angel Tree and provide Christmas gifts of clothes and toys to over 50 children in Skiatook.
* Provide electric fans for low-income elderly.
* Provided over 10,000 volunteer labor hours to reconstruct a building to house the Skiatook Emergency Assistance Center, (SEAC). We are also the largest financial supporter of SEAC, which is the local food bank, clothing pantry, and private non-profit assistance agency.
* Provide and Host the only local Red Cross Blood Drive.
* Build wheelchair ramps and do small home repair projects for low-income elderly in Skiatook.
* Have a Teen Pregnancy Committee, which is studying the problem in Skiatook, and trying to develop ways to lower the rate of "kids having kids."
* Supports a mission to Native Americans in Oklahoma.
* Annually takes a mission team (Medical or Construction) to Bolivia.
* Support Missionaries throughout the World.
